The Maurice Lacroix Aikon #Tide AI2008-60060-300-0 is a truly exceptional watch, from several points of view. To start it was born with all the Aikon pedigree, design and finishing level, however it was created with a very ecological perspective in mind. This shows throughout every element of the watch, from the materials to the packaging to the philosophy. 

The case is made from upcycled plastic combined with glass fiber. This material is twice as hard as standard plastic, five times more resistant and has a carbon footprint significant less than the production of virgin PET. The case, caseback, crown, bezel and buckle are made from this material. The case has a unique feel and feels lighter than conventional steel. With its 40mm diameter and 11mm thickness, comfortable rubber strap and elegant design it's a lovely watch to wear that is extremely comfortable. 

Of course it's still a great watch from a horological perspective. Under the hood is a reliable Swiss Made quartz movement, it features sapphire glass protecting the amazing dial and is water resistant up to 100m. 

The #Tide is special, but most of all still a great watch. Maurice Lacroix did a great thing with these watches and they feel so as well, as this model comes with an extended 5 year warranty.
